Corofin want to succeed in Connacht

Last gasp defeats can have a shuddering impact on a club. Back in November, 2006 at Dr Hyde Park, Corofin were on the verge of annexing Connacht title number five. The languid Karol Mannion lashed as sweet a shot as he will ever drill, rippling the net to fracture Corofin hearts. They still haven’t been fully mended, but the restoration process has been assisted by Corofin’s Galway SFC success.

And having been in and observed St Brigid’s GAA club’s fantastic facilities last weekend at the Corofin v Castlerea game, it was obvious to the majority of us that some clubs in comparison have been drifting along for the past few decades from an infrastructural point of view.

Improving Corofin gunning for another Connacht title

A foul afternoon against limited opponents can frequently be a tricky fence to negotiate. As the rain spilled relentlessly from a wicked Kiltoom sky Corofin simply needed to answer the questions that were being posed of them. Corofin’s responses were immaculate.

We all remember different defeats with more emotion than others. Some leave a very raw scar that takes a long time to heal. It may be from a game that annoyed you intensely, or 60 minutes you would love to have re-lived again.
